Hey everyone!
My name is Timon Lindeboom. Born in Amsterdam, I studied Biotechnology in Wageningen before moving to Germany for my PhD. During my PhD, I focussed on using lab automation to research synthetic yeast genomes at the lab of Prof. Dr. Daniel Schindler at the Max-Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology. Now, I am coming back to the Netherlands for a post-doc as part of the EVOLF consortium. I will be joining the synthetic genomics branch in the lab of Prof. Dr. Pascale Daran-Lapujade at the TU Delft. I am very eager to get to know the other people at the consortium and collaborate together. During my post-doc, I will be working on using lab automation to design, build and test various synthetic chromosomes in vitro, using a standardized library of DNA parts, which will be available for the entire consortium. In my free time, I like to go for runs! I also have a small (but growing!) vinyl collection.
