Meet Yugyeong Je

I'll be working on developing a platform that combines fluorescence imaging with traveling surface acoustic wave actuation to enable automatic sorting of liposomes.

Hi, my name is Yugyeong Je. I'm currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Bio & Nano-ElectroMechanical (BNEM) Laboratory at Ewha Womans University, under the supervision of Professor SangWook Lee. I'm on track to finish my Ph.D. this August. My research has mainly focused on advancing Nano-ElectroMechanical Systems (NEMS) devices, especially graphene resonators, and developing methods for single-molecule identification using two-dimensional electrophoresis on lipid bilayers.
Starting this September, I'll be joining the Department of Precision and Microsystems Engineering (PME) at TU Delft as a postdoctoral researcher in Sabina Caneva's team. I'll be working on developing a platform that combines fluorescence imaging with traveling surface acoustic wave actuation to enable automatic sorting of liposomes. I'm really excited to start this new chapter and to work as a member of the EVOLF consortium.
In my free time, I like working out at the gym, watching movies, taking walks, and grabbing coffee at cafes.
