Pure workshop
Pure Workshop
We hope everyone left the workshop with new knowledge, inspiration, and tools to take back to their labs.
Last month we hosted our first-ever PURE (Protein synthesis Using Recombinant Elements) Workshop, bringing together researchers eager to explore the possibilities of cell-free protein synthesis. During this hands-on training, participants learned how to work with the commercial PURE system kit from Bio-Connect and gained practical experience with the key steps required for successful experiments.
Throughout the day, we covered how to properly prepare both the workspace and ourselves to maintain a strict RNase-free environment, how to operate the plate reader for monitoring reactions, and what to consider when designing and building their own constructs. Beyond the practical skills, the workshop created a great opportunity for new users to engage directly with experienced colleagues, ask in-depth questions, and exchange tips in a relaxed and collaborative atmosphere.
We hope everyone left the workshop with new knowledge, inspiration, and tools to take back to their labs. We are incredibly excited to continue expanding our work with PURE, including our ongoing efforts to develop the system in-house. Participants even got a sneak preview of the exciting progress we are making on that front.
A big thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to making this first PURE workshop such a great success. We are looking forward to many more to come!
